The ShengShou 8x8 Mastermorphix is currently the largest order morphix style puzzle to be mass produced. If the standard cube-shaped 7x7 is getting easy or boring, give this beast a shot. Out of the box the ShengShou 8x8 Mastermorphix is stable, smooth and will not disappoint.

I bought this not knowing what it was really, I thought it was like a piramid style of puzzle, I was wrong! This is a shape changer and a cube, yes six sided cube, at several points during the first solve I had to walk away and rest my brain (I'm sure this will get less of an issue with future solves). The turns are smooth when everything is aligned but getting everything aligned can be tricky, also it has a good weight to it and you get a good sense of achievement when you solve it.
This is the latest addition to my collection of puzzles. I know have all of the morphix style puzzles that are mass produced from 2x2 to this 8x8 and I absolutely love this one! Opening it from the box, it was a tad clunky but that is literally just down to the shape and size of some of the pieces.
On this cube, corners are either the chunkiest piece or the smallest piece, so edge slicing can be scary.
Just take it slow and don't be too forceful. If it feels like it doesn't want to move, it most likely can't becuase pieces are misaligned. Overalll this puzzle is amazing and given the size of some of the pieces, it's understandable that it's not the smoothest puzzle out of the box.
10/10 would recommend!! I'm now just hoping for a mass produced 9x9 version in the near future!!
