Just learning the Square-1, just wanted a cheap one to keep in my bag.
It moves fine, but I'm moving slowly, at the moment.
This is my first square 1, so I can't really compare it to anything else, but it feels really good. Plastic feels high quality, rotation is 99% smooth, heavier/nicer feel than what I thought a cube for £6 would be.
It does have one issue though. The colour tiles can fall off if too much force is used which is not perfect. They can easily be popped back in, but still worth mentioning.
It is really good for the price. Nice and cheap and gets the job done. It turns smoothly enough but not great.
My main complaint is with the tiles. I swapped the yellow and white side so that it would match the Rubix colour scheme (red front, white top, yellow bottom) and it never really fit together properly after that. The tiles were so loose that they would fall apart while turning. I fixed it by glueing them in and its all fine now.
Smooth and stable, but has popped once or twice on me though. The U and D layers are very slow, but it doesn't really affect my solves and this can probably be fixed with some more breaking in. Nothing compared to the Little Magic Square-1 though, so if you have a bit more to spend go for that.
Great cube, my first sq-1. However it does pop occasionally and the U and D layers are very sluggish, which doesn't quite match the frictionless slice.
